The trailer of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan was recently launched at a press event attended by Vikrant Massey, Shanaya Kapoor, writer-producer Mansi Bagla, Varun Bagla, and other key members of the film’s team. The upcoming film is described as a romantic musical as it gears up to hit cinemas this month.

During the press conference, Mansi Bagla spoke about the film’s core theme, focusing on the simplicity and authenticity of love. She said, “I believe love can never go wrong, and when it’s true love, it happens organically. Love should be authentic and simple. We often talk about reaching for the moon and stars, but love isn’t about grand gestures like that. It’s really about understanding, and that’s the most important part. Love is the simplest emotion, yet also the most difficult to navigate.”

Vikrant Massey, who leads the film alongside debutant Shanaya Kapoor, shared his reasons for taking on the project. “When I started my career, the kind of films that inspired me to become an actor were slightly offbeat. As my career progressed, I never really got the chance to do a unique romantic film. So, I knew I had to challenge myself. When Mansi brought this script to me along with Varun, I felt this was the right story at the right time in my journey. I’m also grateful to Mansi for portraying the blind community not with pity, but with dignity and that truly moved me,” he said.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan marks Vikrant Massey’s first venture into a classic romantic musical. The trailer highlights themes of love, heartbreak, and betrayal, aiming to present a traditional Bollywood love story with a contemporary lens. Shanaya Kapoor, in her debut role, portrays her character with a natural ease, while the film’s music, composed by Vishal Mishra, plays a significant role in setting the film’s tone.

The film is presented by Zee Studios and Mini Films, produced by Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla, directed by Santosh Singh, and written and created by Mansi Bagla. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is set for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
