R Madhavan celebrates three years of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect: “We made it happen”
The biopic, which was released in July 2022, was based on the life of ISRO aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of espionage. Madhavan not only played the lead role but also wrote, directed, and produced the film, taking full creative responsibility for the project.
Looking back on the film’s journey and the milestone, Madhavan shared a short but meaningful message on Instagram in response to a post about the film’s anniversary. He wrote, “WE made it happen bro… with God’s grace.” The message, though simple, reflects the personal significance of the project for the actor and filmmaker.
Rocketry received widespread acclaim and went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film at the 69th National Film Awards. It was also noted for its multilingual release and international recognition, including a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Currently, Madhavan is gearing up for his upcoming Netflix release Aap Jaisa Koi, set to premiere on July 11.
